Catching up!

I think I'm caught up on January now!!! Scroll down for several new posts! If you make it through the first one, the rest are short!

100 Best Wishes!!

How special it was to go to my Great Aunt Reecie's 100th Birthday Party!!! She is such a sweet, special, selfless lady and it was an honor to help her celebrate 100 years! It was so fun and very interesting to learn more about her life - all the things she's lived through and several amazing little stories. Like the time her family worried their children were about to be taken by gypsies!! I can't even imagine. Aunt Reecie is my grandmother's sister. She doesn't have any living children, but all 5 of my grandmother's children and thier spouses, 12 of her 14 grandchildren and their spouses, and 17 of her 18 great grandchildren were there. The 18th great grandchild had just been born the day before!! So I think Reecie got a good idea of how much she's loved. It was so fun seeing everyone. It's not often that we're all together! Happy Birthday Aunt Reecie!!

Still playing DS!

Chapman got a party favor - a Hershey bar!!!!!

Attempting a great grandchildren pic! Really next to impossible!! These are the 2 best of 17 that I took! For some reason Sarah decided to lay across the floor in front, so then Claire just had to do the same! I was so proud :)

5th Grade Program

Do you remember the recorder?? Brings back elementary school memories for me!! This year the 5th grade program was a recorder performance rather than singing. They all wore concert black to make it more professional. Very fun to hear their sweet songs - they did a great job!!

My little performer!

A little warm-up

Getting to her spot

I got to use my new zoom lens for these! I had to go waaay back in order to get a good view of her, but I zoomed right in!!

In action!

Mommy's Birthday!

Just a picture of my sweet kids helping me celebrate my birthday. I had a fun birthday dinner and cake on the big day! Then another sweet celebration in the Falls a few days later. How blessed I am!!!

Cotton Bowl

Bill, Jack and Uncle headed off to the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2. Sadly, the Red Raiders had a disappointing end to their exciting/frustrating season! But my boys were excited to see them play anyway. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to spend the day together!!

Before the game!

It's official...

Claire is potty trained!!! My sweet baby was the easiest of the bunch! I kept putting it off, but she decided she was ready, and she was!! So Friday night, she got to go to Toys R Us and pick out whatever she wanted as a reward. She was so cute going up and down the girly aisles looking and looking. But I guess it's kind of like your wedding dress. When you see it, you just know!!

Yes, she already has three baby strollers, but she didn't have a DOUBLE stroller! I mean, how could she pass that up! And it came with twin babies!! Claire named her new babies herself, so introducing...

Claire and Chapman!

I'm pretty sure Alli didn't know that Chapman can be a unisex name as she had another name picked out for a girl! But our little Chapman looks really cute in her purple bow! And it is a little confusing having 2 Claires in the house!

Family pictures

When we were in Wichita Falls for Thanksgiving, a friend of Grammy's came over to take some pictures. I was excited to get some of our little Nelson family and some of the whole group! We just got them all back right before Christmas, so I thought I'd share! I had a hard time narrowing down, so there are alot!!

My boys :)
